I LIKE PENIS!
O M G I thought I would fall out of the chair from laughter.
So... tonight's Grey's was a little better I think. Maybe? Maybe because I laughed more? Addison added a bit of nostalgia and comedy... McRebound?! HAH
OH and another fave: We sleep with boys like whores with tequila... hahaha
So yea I am thinking that Erica is totally digging Callie. Interesting. Tho the thought freaked Callie out so now she is going to sleep with McSteamy a lot.
The whole Jane Doe/Alex thing. So she is trapping him now cause he was ignoring her? With a fake pregnancy... tsk tsk tsk...
I absolutely LOVED the elevator scene. HAHAH
Well, I enjoyed the show... laughed a lot.
I am excited because we got our kitchen flooring yesterday and will be getting our living room flooring tomorrow... and this weekend we will be putting it down.. YAY! I am soooo happy to get a floor again! No more CEMENT! YAY!
And then on Saturday... our new bedroom furniture and mattress... YAY! I am so glad tomorrow is Friday and the end of this work week.
Nothing much to report
We finally took another step foward to finishing our home renovation. We got the kitchen flooring. We will go either today or tomorrow to get the bamboo flooring for the living room. I cannot WAIT.
Saturday we will be getting our new bed... I have been dreaming of this new bed since we bought it. Our new couches are ready for us to finish the flooring then we will have them delivered.
We also figured what we will do with our kitched cabinets and picked the countertop we want.
I cannot wait to get this D O N E.
I finished the first book in the Stars of Mithra series by Nora Roberts and now I am reading Captive Star (the second in the series). I am almost done with this one. I will probably finish it at lunch today.
I cannot wait to read the next Kresley Cole book that just came out and everyone has read it but me in our little unofficial book circle. :)
Honeybrowne is playing this Saturday at a place close by and I am thinking of going. I missed them the last two times I could have seen them. I guess it will depend on what we get done on Saturday to the house. We are also starting to get the pool cleaned out and ready. Christopher wants a pool party. I have to get his invites done ASAP so he can pass them out in enough time. Ashley is gearing up for her prom and her dress should arrive any day now. (2nd -9th) If I do not receive it by the 9th I will start getting worried. I have to get her invites designed this weekend for sure. It's hard to believe that she is graduating already. Even tho my relationship with her didnt begin until she was 14, it still amazes me how much she has grown since then.
Ok well back to work.

Weekend Recap
On Saturday we went to the Crawfish festival. The kids had such a great time. We saw Bob later in the evening and Christopher and Ashley finally got to see him perform. Chris was up front with me and Brian and was transfixed with Bob and Ollie. He and Ollie shared a few moments with a dead crawfish dancing and stuff. Chris got Bob's pick which he said is now his most prized possession. After the show, he got to meet Bob. I took a couple pics. I will post them later. Too cute how Bob was like let's make a mean face. He even wanted to see the pics after I took them. He was extremely patient. He talked to Chris and asked him if he liked the show and Chris was like Yea I did but it's over now. LOL Bob said yea it is buddy sorry. HAHA
Sunday was spent relaxing and easing our aching muscles from walking and walking and um all the rides the kids dragged us onto.
All in all it was a GREAT family fun weekend. We definitely need to do it more often!

Friday... Grey's... Weekend
This week has completely sucked from day 1. I am still coughing but it is finally less frequent. Let's recap this week shall we?
- Birthday: sick, power out, hotel room with one bed and five people
- Brian finds out he did not get the job because of the economy HR would not approve of them hiring him or some stupid crap
- Power goes out again on Thursday but comes back on
- SICK ALL WEEK
- LOST 30 LBS! One good thing
There are a few other things that happened that I don't need to go thru... I think this list is long enough.
The worst news was that the day that he was to get the offer letter, he got a call from the company saying they cannot hire him. So he is back at square one trying to find a job. I am starting to freak a little about it. He has less than a month to find a job. :( I am praying hard that something comes up for him.
Grey's Anatomy is back! *spoiler alert* Last night we reentered the world of the McDoctors we know and love. However, for being the first show since the strike, it didn't have that bang we would have liked to have seen. Instead, I think they opted to continue the story without as if we had been watching all this time. I still enjoyed the show even though it didn't submerse me in it's plot. The whole idea of the contest was dumb. Who does that?
I found the Lexie/George apartment theme fun... the fact that Lexie kept stealing stuff for the apartment was underplayed beautifully but she really did make that apartment more homey... Roaches gross. Something about McSteamy rubbed me the wrong way. I am not sure if it was that he lost weight or his haircut but something seemed off. His constant chauvenistic comments to McDreamy got on my nerves. Anyway... the patients were interesting. Cheech was a hoot. I love Cheech. The other patients had an interesting story but that stupid contest overshadowed everything. DUMB. I will never forget the whole TUMOR! incident. It was almost as if she was thrilled to know that the dude's tumor was the reason he married the rebound girl. That part was sad and callous. The whole Dr. Han and Callie friendship is weird and they are total bitches to Christine which I think is sad. And finally... Meredith talks to a shrink. ABOUT DAMN TIME. that woman is so annoying.
This weekend, I plan on going to the movies tonight. I am allowing my husband to come along. He owes me a good time. Don't you think? Saturday we are going to the Crawfish Festival in Old Town Spring. Chris and Ashley will finall y get to see Bob Schneider. yay.
Ok well now that I have bored you enough... have a good weekend.

Over the hump...
I am feeling slightly better. I went to the doctor yesterday and got some rx for meds, including another inhaler that has some refills on it. I think this all started with my allergies... aggravated into bronchitis. Tho my doctor said it was bronchial asthma. So whatever. BUT... the GOOD NEWS I got this week is now I have officially lost 30 lbs! YAY! *happy dance* I have lots more to go but this is a great start. My clothes are not fitting me anymore and that is a good problem to have, I guess, but I cannot afford to go out and buy myself a new wardrobe. Although it is something I will have to do this weekend... new pants for sure.So I finished Sandra Brown, Fat Tuesday, and it was pretty good. Some parts were adrenaline pumping and some parts I kinda skimmed. But all in all, I still love to read a good Sandra Brown book. She is good at the twists and turns and she never seems to leave anything unexplained. Everything in the story has a purpose and justice is served once again. Her characters are not always perfect. They are complex and sometimes warped. A good read.
Now I am starting to read some old Nora Roberts, Stars, which has two of her older stories in it. Part of the Stars of Mithra series I think. Anyway, I am just in the third chapter so far and already she has my attention. That's Nora Roberts for ya.
This weekend I am planning on going to the Crawfish festival in Old Town Spring. (The blogger dictionary did not recognize the word "Crawfish". Isn't that funny?) I hope it turns out to be a fun time. I think I deserve a fun time... dammit. Friday I plan on getting a manicure and pedicure after work. My own birthday present. That is, if I feel better and stop coughing up a lung every two seconds.
Christopher, my almost 10 year old, has been going to Nicholas' friend's church on Wednesdays. Nick goes with him to help out the leaders who run the children's bible study which is great. Anyway, Chris got an study guide/activity book today that he already started. He is taking a great interest in learning bible verses. I am glad. I am so proud of my boys. :)
Ashley, my oldest stepdaughter, is all bummed and being a teenager with the drama about prom and how her beau in Indiana may not come for prom. Something about his mom charging him rent or something. She wants him to stay a long time (so he can go to prom and to her graduation) and she has to realize that he may not have the money to stay that long. And if he can come at least to one of the events and maybe just a weekend, that would be good too. I mean it is better than NOTHING right? Well, not to her but she is a teenager and cannot see the forest for the trees.Ok that is all for now. Off to bed. :)

As if my birthday could not get any worse...
I am still sick. I cannot stop coughing and I am over it already. I am pretty much ready for this week to end.

My bee says...

"Birthdays suck, especially when you are sick."
So Brian is now sick too. He called me a few minutes ago to check on me. He is feeling better already, the bastard. I always get it worse than anyone in my house. GRRR! He actually wanted to go out to eat with me tonight and I am like dude I feel like sh*t. So needless to say, rain check on that. Plus I don't want to leave the kids out. So, since he wanted to do that as a last minute whim, I am guessing nothing else was planned for my birthday. That's ok. It is like this every year. I have learned that if I want to celebrate it, I have to do it myself. Thus I bought myself a violin cause I wanted one.
Ok well never mind. My day has just gotten worse. Nick just called me to inform me that our power is out which means our bill was not paid for whatever reason. I don't even want to go home now. Can I just like start over? Get a re-do? Go back in time? *bangs head on desk*
/EDIT/
I almost forgot where I WANT to be tonight! New Orleans. House of Blues. Jason Mraz. Bushwalla. *sigh*
/END EDIT/

Happy Birthday to me... *cough cough*
I got my violin last week. I promptly broke two strings.
Once I got everything set and rosined my bow a million times, I played it briefly and realized I have forgotten just about everything. Some things came back to me but I still need lessons. Hopefully I can get those set up soon. I hope I don't find myself sucking at it when I was so good at it before. O well only time will tell.
This weekend I had so many fun things planned to do (for my birthday) but Thursday I found myself without a voice. I thought it just a fluke, allergy related or something. Oh no... by Thursday night I felt like someone hit me with a truck. Spent Friday in bed. When I woke up I could not breathe and was coughing up a storm. I felt so bad that I could not sleep Friday night. Needless to say this weekend I have been absolutely miserable.Tonight I still feel bad but not as bad as Friday. I am wheezing like crazy and probably have walking pneumonia.I will go to work tomorrow still feeling like crap but trying to bear it. :(
I added a music playlist to my blog. Very eclectic like my music tastes. Feel free to listen to it if you want. It is not by any means a complete listing of everything that I love... just some stuff I love and am listening to a lot of now. :)

Senior Prom 2008 and old hobby revisited
Anyway... I ordered her dress. It is so pretty.. Color will be baby blue. It will match her eyes beautifully. It will be custom made to her measurements so I am excited that she will have a dress that we won't have to alter much if at all. We won't have to fight to get it on her, etc. I have her hair appointment for that day all set up and everything. So she will be nice and pampered. Her boyfriend better get on the ball cause he has to rent a tux and get measured and make sure it is HERE for the big day. I guess I will end up helping him with that. He is joining the marines and will be going to boot camp anytime now so hopefully they can swing all this before he has to ship off. It could ruin the entire event but I am trying not to think about it.
Here are a few pictures of her dress in red:

Cute huh? I hope when we receive it that it is everything we asked for and more.
In other news, most of you probably do not know that I use to play the violin. I was pretty good too. I gave it up for stupid reasons that I now regret and decided that I want to get back into playing it. So I got myself one. I cannot wait to receive it. I will also take lessons. This time I am serious about it and really want to play. It alawys relaxed me to play it and I need more relaxing activities.
Here are a couple pictures of my new violin:
I am so stoked to get back into this... wish me luck!
I started reading again and finished the Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dream Hunter and Dark Hunter series for now. Anxiously awaiting the next book, Acheron.
I read a Kay Hooper book that I think was a reprint of one of her early romance novels. I have to say its the worst book of hers that I have ever read. I read it out loud to Brian during part of it and all I could think about was how you could act tis out in one of those old-time movies from the 20s-50s. It made us laugh. *swoon*
I started a new Sandra Brown book and I totally got into it then fell asleep and I couldn't find it last night. Brian put it somewhere so I stared on a Janet Evanovich Full series book.
Brian had an awesome interview yesterday with a neat company. He was offered the job. Some of you may know that his current employer informed him a couple months ago that he would be laid off at the end of May. Since then two people quit, 1 person was laid off, and several others are actively looking for work elsewhere. When he does give his notice to them, I bet you they will reconsider cause they will be stuck between a rock and a hard place. O WELL!
My birthday is next Monday, the 21st. I have no plans for anything. No parties are planned. No cake.. no nothing. My birthdays usually suck. So I guess that is all I will say about that.

New Browser: Flock
I also signed into Facebook earlier and now on my flock homepage, it tells me what my friends on Facebook are doing (based on what they have on their pages). So... i will test this out for a few days and see if it is even worth continuing to use.
Coworker doesn't like it so far. It is interesting to say the least.
Ok well more on this later.

Can't concentrate today.
I also am having a difficult time keeping my mouth shut. I find myself talking and talking and talking. Ummm what the hell. You have my permission to just tell me to shut up if I turn into one of those people that just talk your friggin head off. I have turned into something I myself hate. *panic*
*sigh* Maybe I am just starved for adult interaction. I was a mom who stayed home with her kids 24/7 for several years before I got the job I am working in now. Not for lack of trying to find work outside the home. I also homeschooled my kids during this time. So it was me and kids all the time while my husband worked four jobs. I did not have a lot of friends at the time either. I lost track of all the friends from college and high school when I became a parent. Life was difficult for me and I was mostly alone until I met Brian. So... anyway, maybe actually finding someone to talk to that is above the age of 17 has made me into a talkaholic. I know you people are not that interested in me and my life and I know that I don't really have much to say.
So just shush me and I will go back to my desk or hang up or whatever.

So a funny thing happened at the Bob show...
Well, a fellow Bob fan, Danielle, on his street team, was browsing the web looking for other Bob pics or reviews from the show. She came across the pics from this guy...
This is my husband with me in the fuzzy foreground.
This is my hand taking a picture.
And this is me taking a picture.

Isn't that just crazy? LOL

Life is like... BUSY!
For Brian's birthday, which was yesterday btw, I set us up to go see Bob on March 21. This time we were right in the front and I had my camera ready and took 171 shots and video. I got some really great pictures... Here is one of them:
Bob usually records his shows and we get the CDs every time. Since my friend MK could not join us, I got one for her. It was a great show but sometimes the person recording skips the encore which is usually really awesome... ours was too albeit short. One of our fave songs was played. Snakebucket. It was excluded from the CD so luckily I recorded it with my camera. YAY! See below:
In other news, Easter was last weekend and it was nice long holiday weekend for us. We had all the kiddos all spring break week. Sunday to Sunday. FUN! I got some great pics of the kids. See below for a few from church. Well that is it in a nutshell... for now.

It's been too long...
Plus it is really nice to have someone to talk to that likes the same books you do. Among other things. :)
Isa. Poor baby Isa. She is now one-eyed. She turned out to be blind in the eye that got infected. Vet thinks maybe she got it scratched during the attack. We took her to the vet yesterday and they removed her eye and she got fixed. So she is just a little stitch monster. But soon all of her hair will grow back and she will just wink all the time. She is already back to normal and her wounds are healing so fast. It is amazing and I just love her all the more.
I am excited about seeing Flogging Molly on the 11th. YAY... I love Irish music but this band mixes that with some rock-n-roll. So Brian and I are listening to them right now. Last night we listened to some old Bob shows that MK gave me. They were kickin!
Ok back to reading! :D

More Bob!!!
It was another good show. A little more intimate than Warehouse Live. I cannot believe we saw him twice in exactly a week. BUT HEY ITS BOB!
Funny thing happened... I was attempting to take camera phone pics of Bob and Gang since we were so close... and Bob wouldn't stop moving around... and so I moved over to the guitarist Jeff Plankenhorn (aka Plank) and he totally poses for me with a huge grin.... and then the picture turned out like crap. See below.

O well.
Another good night. After the show, of course, Brian goes to talk to one of the bandmembers, Plank. (see above) He talked to him forever. He remembered him from last week... which is like cool but then again it was only a week ago.

Valentine's Day
I had a great V-day. Brian gave me a square-cut solitaire diamond ring. What a surprise! It made me cry and then he cried... lol I never got an engagement ring b/c we couldn't afford it and it just wasn't important... at least as important as our wedding and getting married and all that. lol He also got me an oval pendant necklace with diamonds. I wear it all the time even if its not like appropriate to wear such a necklace. I just don't care.
That night we met up with MK and Claire at Warehouse Live and saw our fave musicion, Bob Schneider. It was a great show tho one of the opening bands gave us a great laugh. :D
Brian got a little drunk and my feet were killing me by the end of the night (standing from 8PM-2AM is not good on the tootsies).
All in all a great day... :D

What a crappy day.... Y~A~W~N
Not a great start to the day. But I am here and working... taking a break after I choked to death. I haven't ready anything since the first of the week... after Isa got hurt she has been my focus when I am home. This morning she started to show some improvement and actually went to the bathroom for the first time since Monday. She even drank some water and took her meds (wrapped in cheese) like a good girl. She was walking around some but her back legs gave out on her a few times.
Heartbreaking to watch her but I know she is going to get better. She even licked her wound this morning which I take as a good sign no matter how gross it is to me.
I plan on working late today to make up for my morning oversleep.
SOOO tired tho...
I got my SIGG bottle today. I was walking out of the house when the UPS truck was leaving my driveway and sure enough... SIGG had arrived... I thought I was getting a green one but it looks more blue to me. It is very pretty... So far it's ok. I don't know about it being the most awesome thing ever like Laura says but I like it. It serves a purpose and I can feel good about doing one less thing to hurt the environment.
Here is a pic:

I don't really have a funny for today... so to celebrate the fact that I will be seeing Bob Schneider tomorrow night for V-day.... I have attached a fun video of him peforming... Keep that Stiffy Rollin' HE HE HE

My baby is hurt...
Well, my chihuahua, Isa, deaf... sweet baby dog... got out of the house today. She managed to get thru the broken window that the stupid ass dog that broke it to get Coco impregnated. It was supposed to be blocked with a large piece of plywood. She got thru it. That is the only thing I can think of as to how she got out. Ashley was home sick and apparently didn't notice she was missing. The boys thought she was in Ashley's room laying with her. Brian and I got home to find her nowhere to be found in the house. We started a search outside. She is deaf so I was fearing the worst. We went to our next door neighbor and he told us that a girl was going house to house trying to find out if anyone lost a chihuahua. We were told by the neighbor that she told him that Isa was hurt and they took her to the vet. So we got into the car and went door to door. Luckily, the first house we went to, a neighbor that has lots of pugs, had her. They are the ones that found her and took her to the vet. She was attacked by a dog. I am so thankful she is alive. Of course, right now I cannot stop crying. Pictures are below so you are officially warned. I am so upset at my husband for not securing that window. Right now she is super drugged out. We have to clean it twice a day and I know poor Brian is going to have to do it cause I couldn't bear it. :(
She will be two in July, so she is my sweet little baby. :(
OK here are the pics:

Got a case of the Mondays?
Never did get our bedroom rearranged though I imagine my husband will want to do it this week sometime. I just want a floor to cover my house and some new cabinets in the kitchen and oh yea a new couch. I am sick of the icky concrete floor.
I am now reading a Jennifer Weiner book, Goodnight Nobody. She makes me laugh. She is a great writer and one of her books was made into a movie with Toni Collette, Cameron Diaz and Shirley MacClaine, In Her Shoes. LOVE that story. Check it out. I love how real her characters are... with sarcasm, real heart... you can totally relate to them on a personal level. If you haven't read anything of hers, I highly recommend her.
Back to work... here is a clip for your monday enjoyment from Office Space... (I LOVE THAT MOVIE!):

Weekends should be relaxing... right?
Afterwards, Brian found his car STUCK IN THE MUD! HAHAHA We met there after work and it was so packed, he parked in this grassy area behind the restaurant. Well, his car sunk into the mud and he was trapped. He called our roadside assistance and they said it would take up to 2 hours to get someone out to him. So I went home and called Chumleys. The towing company that is actually right around the corner of the restaurant. It was hilarious to me. It took the guy one minute to get to Brian from when I called. Brian said the guy asked him when he got our of the truck, "You been offroading?" LOL In a Kia Spectre? HAHAH Too funny. That was the highlight of our weekend I think.
Which is pretty sad, I guess.
I have not read that many books this weekend. It has been kinda boring. We are about to rearrange our bedroom furniture. FUN! YAWN....
Here are a couple funnies:

Super Tuesday?
I do not have a CLUE who my candidate is. I am an independent... leaning more on the conservative side... with a liberal flair. HAHA That being said, I am tempted to write in my candidate than actually vote for the current choices. I keep thinking about the book series, Left Behind, and I swear one of them is the antichrist. I just am not fond of ANY of them. Not one. Some have some admirable qualities or maybe they have the same viewpoint I do on ONE issue... but all in all... they suck. I added a poll to my blog so you all can share with me your candidates... granted most of them won't be in the final running but it is always interesting to see who people go for.
To say that Obama and Clinton are neck and neck is an understatement. Watching the polls come in, they pretty much got nearly 50/50 in most of the states. The republican side is just boooring... Did you hear about the whole McCain/Huckabee thing in West Virginia (I think)? Stupid. I hate politics.
I can say one thing I DO NOT WANT A CLINTON in the White House... HELL NO... I don't care if she IS a woman... I just don't like her.
For those of you in Texas... It is time to vote in a new license plate. Have you done it yet? I did... You can do it here.
My brother recently brought to my attention this video series... about Photoshop. It is called You Suck at Photoshop. It is a comedy series but you actually learn how to do some neat tricks in Photoshop while watching this poor man's heart break. Confused? Just watch the first episode. (There are five total now) Funny stuff:

What if you just found out you had one month to live?
Our pastor and his wife wrote a book called One Month to Live: 30 Days to a No Regrets Life. They are challenging all of us in our church to think about this very question and to basically live 30 days as if it were our last. What is most important to you? It makes you think... would you care about the small stuff anymore? Would you try to be with your family more? Try to fix a broken relationship? Take a trip to a place you always wanted to go? Would money be such a stresful thing anymore? Would it make it moreso?
My husband and I are going to start on the challenge this weekend. I wonder what will happen? Will we both be totally different people by the end of the 30 days or will nothing change? I want to be serious about this. If you are interested in this, click here for more information about this challenge.

Monday... again...
So I finished all of the Full series by Janet Evanovich and Charlotte Hughes. I have to say that I really enjoyed this series. I am not sure if they are making more to it... I mean it did leave off that maybe they will continue... but who knows.
So now I am back to the books that I have on my shelf left to read. I do want to get the rest of Sherrilyn Kenyon and Kresley Cole. I also want to get some J. R. Ward. But B&N does not seem to keep these in stock. I hate ordering online sometimes because I am impatient and want to get started on them NOW... but I guess I will just have to wait and read what I have for now. (Some of which is listed on the side panel)
Lots of talk about the super bowl today and most are in agreement that it was a very cool game.... better than the commercials. Though I have to say some of them made me LOL (for real).
One of which was the Pepsi Max one. Everyone was falling asleep (like me sometimes) and then they drank Pepsi Max and they all started bobbing their heads like Chris Kattan and Will Ferrell in A Night at the Roxbury . And then at the end of the commercial, Chris Kattan comes storming through some folks doing the head bob and he yells STOP IT! HAHA That made me laugh cause NO ONE that knows this movie/SNL skit can NOT bob their head when they hear that song!
There was one other that I laughed at ... the guy that was like blowing the candles on fire... all impressive and stuff and then he sneezes or something and he burns everything down. LOL Predictable but made me laugh regardless.
I know they promoted that all the super bowl ads would be on myspace.com/superbowlads so I have to check out what I may have missed... see if I find any others I liked. :D The game was definitely better than the commercials this year though.
Back to work.. yay... :P Brent stop procrastinating!!! he he he

GIANTS WIN !!!!! YEAAAAAAA BABY!!!!!
17-14 What a game... wow....
I knew Tom Brady had to go down when he didn't shake Eli Manning's hand... That just sealed what I think of Brady. Grade A Jerk!
Game winning touchdown, former steeler... Plaxico Burress.. it could not have ended any better for me... :D Then they held Brady off at every turn... hahahaha I LOVE IT... He got sacked like 100 times.... that was awesome.
WOW what a game!! I am so elated!!! WTG GIANTS!!!
GO GIANTS!!!
In other news, I think my son got me sick. I woke Saturday morning to a swollen epiglottis. It was hard to swallow. I took an allergy pill and it gradually went down. I had a hair appt. yesterday... My hair looks FABULOUS btw. I finally made it to see Rossanne, recommended by Laura and Susan at work. She did a great job. She straightened it too with the CHI since I asked her about it and now I am buying one from her. (hee hee) After that I went home and passed out. Slept off and on all night long. I feel better today thank goodness. The last thing I need is to be sick!
I am reading the Full series by Janet Evanovich and I loved the first book, Full House. I read the second, Full Tilt, and loved it. I am on the third book, Full Speed, and it is going slower probably because I am not feeling 100% this weekend.
I need to take some pics of the puppies today so I can find them a home. Brian and the boys are moving them to the pen out back as I write this. They have been driving us nuts with their whining. They are 4 weeks now and so two more weeks and they can find their new homes.... I hope it is easier this time to find them homes than last time. By putting them in the pen out back, it will be easier on my house too!
Well, back to preparing for the super bowl.... GO GIANTS!!!!

GILLMAN HONDA SUCKS!
HOWEVER -- My sweet husband Brian wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, so we went by there last night. We had an appt with the guy at 5:30PM. We waited for 45 minutes before we found out the guy had LEFT EARLY! He did not even call Brian to let him know!
So a newbie salesguy that speaks minimal english helps us. He brings us a 2006 Toyota Corolla with 20K miles on it. Now tell me how this is the same price as the one we originally were looking at (02 Toyota Corolla with 50K miles)?!? We questioned newbie salesguy and he went to get the finance guy who told him to bring us this car (He knew how much we wanted to spend and what we were approved for)... and we waited... and waited... and waited... So during all this time, we call our normal dealer guy, Jimmy Nguyen (pronounced WEE) at Fred Haas Toyota World. We wasted almost 2 hours waiting on the jerks at GILLMAN HONDA (WEST BELT & 59 SOUTH btw - DONT GO THERE!) and we saw ONE vehicle for two seconds (not even a test drive and the car was not even cleaned yet... still had former owners crap inside it) and got NO ASSISTANCE from anyone! FOR SHAME GILLMAN HONDA --- You will be getting a letter of EXTREME DISPLEASURE about the way you handle your customers... ANYWAY....
We leave without another word to the GILLMAN HONDA ASSHOLES and head to our good buddy Jimmy. We have purchased three THREE 3 cars from him... this will be our 4th. He brings us a gorgeous and loaded 2003 Toyota Corolla with 50K miles. We test drive it... we LOVE IT... It is in our price range... but by this time it is late so we are continuing the paperwork stuff today and should be (God-willing) driving home with it tonight. :D YAY!

A new car? No sleep? Another book down? A new video? Yep all in a day
I am so darn tired. I ended up not being able to sleep last night at all so I picked up Full House by Janet Evanovich and Charlotte Hughes. I really enjoyed this book. It was funny and sweet with a little action mixed in between. I really liked the dinner scene... chaos in true Evanovich fashion. :D I started on the second one Full Tilt this morning. I didn't get any sleep last night. So I am sooo friggin tired. Coffee is not helping.
Brian found another car. Used (we never buy new) but low miles. 02 Toyota Corolla. Looks great, the carfax report was clean and so we will be checking it out after work today to see if want to take it home with us. Thanks Brent for the tips!
So far work has been super busy this week as I have a lot to get done beforehand. I was here until 740PM last night. I was so frustrated cause something in the website was not working like I wanted it to and I really HATE when that happens.
The drive into work today was terrible and I have been wound up every since.
Anyway today is kind of a boring post so here is a video to liven it up. ENJOY!
I dont know why I love that... but I do... You can find out the history of the video here.

*YAWN* Oh excuse me... is it a workday?
I wake up my husband who is snoring peacefully. He jumps up and goes to check the house. Yes.. all of the children were still snoozing too. Grrrreat.
So I was 2 hours late this morning to work, which is good I guess cause I can use exactly 2 hours of personal leave to cover it since I can only use 2 hour increments. RME
I have been doing so well that this morning just made me sick to my stomach. sigh
I am sure part of the problem with why I didn't wake up EARLIER is because I finished the 5th book for the Dark-Hunter series, Kiss of Night. This one made me cry. I really liked when all the characters from the previous books came back at the end to help out the hero of this book, including Zarek (I love him). And what is with the head DH... Acheron... I mean it is like he can do anything now. Hmmm... I notice the next new book that is coming out in Aug 08 is called Acheron... I cannot WAIT for that one!
A joke for you:
A woman, in her fifties, is at home happily jumping, unclothed, on her bed. Her husband watches her for a while and asks, "Do you have any idea how ridiculous you look? What's the matter with you?" The woman continues to bounce on the bed and says, "I don't care, what you think. I just came from having a mammogram, and the doctor says that not only am I healthy, but I have the breasts of an 18 year-old." The husband replies, "What did he say about your 55-year old ass?"
"Your name never came up," she replied.

Bookworm? Possibly.
I got a Apple laptop from my friend MK. It's older but I will primarily be using it to do minor stuff and mostly writing. When I get a new one, I will pass this one to one of my kids. Anyway, a MAC is always fun. Thanks MK! What's that? Oh yes you heard right. I have started writing. I was inspired by my best friend, my muse, Laura.
This week at work I am SWAMPED. I have so much to do before Friday. So until next time! Here is a funny video that I love:
You might have it and NOT EVEN KNOW IT!

TGIF ... TGIF... TGIF... TGIF... YAY!
It is dreary and cold and wet outside... but I am trying to stay positive.
I finished Dark Prince and it turned out to be a great read. I love how she protrays the Carpathians... not your typical vampire story. I blazed into the second book (Dark Desire) and already almost done with it. This series is intense thus far and I am enjoying it and glad I have some lighter stuff to read when I am done.
So a friend of mine who is addicted to youtube (LAURA!) introduced me to this funny comedian, Jon La Joie, with a very interesting sense of humor. I absolutely love his Everyday Normal Guy video. He raps but it's not what you expect. There is bad language so be forewarned... but be prepared to at least giggle a little.
*giggle* He also has a part 2 to this. See more of his videos here.

Dark Days...
Secondly, the first book of the Carpathian series by Christine Feehan has me a little on the WTF side. I mean maybe it is because I have read her other series (which came later) first and that is why? I mean this is the first book in this series but I am sure it gets better from here... I guess the start was good then it got weak... Last night I put it down and wondered if I should pick it back up. I mean I probably will cause the story is good... the way she has twisted the vampire lore and stuff is interesting but the whole relationship between hero and heroine has me up in arms I guess. I don't know how to quite explain it really.
Anyway I will finish it and I will go on to the next one because I committed myself to reading it. Plus my irritation is almost in line with the way Laurell K. Hamilton's heroines behavior (one minute I am tough as nails and you can kiss my ass and the next they are like so faint they can barely hold their heads up from fainting without touching a man)... LOL I know silly right? It's that kind of thing that bothers me. SO minor and petty but there ya go.
I got a couple responses from my family on my dad's side. I am so excited to hear from them! It was confirmed that my dad has moved back to our hometown but I have no idea how he is. Yet.
I have to get my plans in order to get a visit up there and soon.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BESTEST FRIEND!!!
Feliz Cumpleanos to my dearest friend in the whole wide world..... LAURA! You rock sistah and I wish you the best day! I know that things are blah right now but know that God has a plan for you and your life and no matter what dips you have in the roller coaster called life, He is there for you always!
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord,"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29
I love you gf! :)
In the Garden & Key series... Nora gets me again
I then started the Key series also by Nora Roberts. This series (Key of Light, Key of Knowledge, and Key of Valor) was also about three women, but this time they are around the same age. They are each invited to a special meeting where they are given the chance of a lifetime... What a great story this was! They each have to find one of three keys that will unlock the souls of some demigoddesses locked away like sleeping beauties by an evil sorcerer god. Each book focuses on one of the women and their quest for their key.
Ok here is what I love about both series and Nora Roberts:
Nora Roberts is just excellent at creating a character. All of her characters are so believable, human, REAL... she is able to shape them with her words so that I see that person and relate to them in my mind so clearly. I have to say that I have yet to read a Nora Roberts book I did not like. Anyway, in each of these series, the people, the characters, each have real issues, real insecurities and pain that I can relate to. It is not your typical romance novel where everyone is a supermodel and perfect. It is not about sex... They are all stories of love, loss, pain and triumph... But all women are STRONG women even if they don't believe they are... like most women I know. It was just a real joy to read these and I recommend them to anyone. :)
Now I am onto the Christine Feehan's Carpathian series. I am 15 books behind so I gotta get cracking. :) So far the first book, Dark Prince, is intersting... and dark. We shall see how it continues.

Friday Friday Friday... *salsa dance*
I spent a little time reading Black Rose last night but not much. I was listening to some Daddy Yankee last night and my son Christopher was excited because he absolutely loves to dance, especially to Latin/Reggaeton music. He LOVES the song Gasolina by Daddy Yankeee. SO I decided to film him doing his very interesting dance with my flip video camera. It came out a little dark but you can still see him. He wanted me to put it on YouTube, so I did.
Isn't he just a ham and a half?!
I find it interesting when people at work, most of them mexican or hispanic, realize that I am also hispanic... as if they never knew. I guess I do not look hispanic enough? Hispanics come in all shapes, colors and sizes. I am puerto rican from my father's side of the family. I am very proud of my heritage... VERY... and it is a big part of my life to share that with my children. Thus they love Latin music. My oldest son is learning spanish and taking a huge interest in the language and it makes me proud. I guess I wish I looked MORE hispanic so people would not be so shocked to find it out. I do wish I spoke more spanish. Being in south Texas.. well spanish speaking is a huge plus. I wish I had retained more as a kid. O well.. Having blonde hair, blue-eyed kids I get constant questioning looks at the schools when I say my kids are hispanic... "Are you sure you filled this out right?", they ask. RME No I just like to think they are hispanic...
Anyway, plans for this weekend are pretty much in the air... I have some web design work to do for my friend Bill's business. So behind on my freelance work. I want to get my hair done, manicure/pedicure, facial.. the works... and shoe/clothes shopping... if I can swing it. I guess everything depends on whether or not the kids are coming over this weekend. The Ex keeps informing Ashley that this and this are options for whatever reason but she has yet to talk to Brian about it all... The kids are NOT messengers for crying out loud. It is such a pet peeve of mine. Ok I'm done... Have a great friday!

Boredom = Thursday
I talked to my brother Javi this morning and he had some questions about our ancestry on my father's side of the family. Anyway we got to talking and he told me that our younger brother, Emilio, told him that our dad was in a bad accident, found out he has alzheimers (mild case) and had to move to Amsterdam NY (where my entire family lives). It was a pretty big shock. It has been about six years since I have talked to my dad. So I found my dad's myspace page which led me to a few uncles and my aunt also. I sent everyone a message. I am not sure if anyone will respond. It has been a long time but I miss them all a lot.
Anyway... check out this hilarious video

B&N loves me... I am such a book nerd
I purchased the second book in the Little Lady series and thoroughly enjoyed Little Lady, Big Apple. Our heroine, tags along to the Big Apple... and hilarity and heartbreak ensues... I don't want to give it all away so you have to read for yourself. I absolutely love this series. The third book comes out next month, Little Lady and the Prince I think it is called.
I am now starting a new series from an author that I have never read before, Nancy Fairbanks. She has a whole series of mystery books that are all food related. First one being Crime Brulee, which I find pretty funny as in each of the following books have a title in this fashion. So I thought I would give it a try.
I walked out of B&N quite happy with my purchases and have plenty to read for the next week. I get to go back this weekend with my kiddos so they can use their gift cards they received from my FIL for Christmas. FUN FUN... No doubt I will be spending more money on books when I go back. After all, I never did get the books on my list. *wink*

Little Lady Agency... Honey Please!
This book reminds me of the fun with Bridget Jones' Diary, which I loved. It is set in London and it is about a woman trying to find herself and she eventually does... even tho she finds it thru an alter-ego she creates named Honey. What a FUN FUN FUN story... I laughed a lot and really love the characters. I am still waiting on the ending which I know I will finish at lunchtime... but I suspect that it won't be without a laugh or two.
In other news, I have finally finished the mini-catalog that I was designing for work and got the proof today. It looks pretty good if I do say so myself. I just hope that it generates some good sales. :)
I am ready to go home already cause I am still tired. I went home and passed out immediately, woke up at midnight and couldn't go back to sleep. It was too late for me to take a sleeping pill by the time I woke up so I was pretty much stuck. So I read. I really hate insomnia. :(
Earlier I got an IM from my SIL. Apparently, Brian's ex was posing as Ashley yesterday during school hours and trying to talk to her. SIL and my husband's ex do NOT get along. Long story. Anyway she had to make sure that Ashley was in fact in school and not at home online.... but she said that she knew it was NOT Ashley and the conversation sounded like bait. While I would love to think she is being delusional, this is something that the ex has done on many prior occasions. SIL was not thrilled but I told her I doubt the ex will stop anytime soon. It is best to ignore the drama-monger. It really is a waste of energy. I learned that the hard way.
*EDIT* Turns out it was Ashley talking to SIL. Now SIL feels really bad for some of the things she said thinking it was the EX. In all fairness, the EX has done that so many times, it is easy for one to be paranoid.

Blah Monday
I have yet to see my proof that I needed to have back to the print center by noon. UGH!
I was not able to read anything but the first page of the new book cause of interruptions during lunch. I guess I should have left the building then huh?
O well I did drink 3 liters of water so far today. YAY! 1 more to go. :)
I'm a book reading fool...
I thoroughly enjoyed the Kresley Cole, Immortal After Dark series (books 1-3), that I read. It was hard to put them down for even my husband to talk to me. He knows by now that if I am that engrossed in a story to wait until I pause to talk to me. LOL That is pretty lame I know. Anyway, I know that I will really enjoy reading more from her.
After I finished those books, I read an older one by Kay Hooper (one of my faves) that was republished. It was her last romantic novel.... The Haunting of Josie. I really liked it. It was short and sweet with little bits of goosebumps mixed in.
Next up is The Little Lady Agency by Hester Browne. Brian found this for me when he went to the grocery store to get some stuff. I have not read anything from Hester Browne before. It LOOKS like it might be a fun read. I will get started on it today at lunch.
In other news, our washer is out again. Well, it's the pipes I think. We have to get them cleaned out because the washer ended up flooding our house. Good thing I have no floors down (we are down to bare concrete while we remodel "SLOWLY"). So meanwhile we washed clothes the old fashioned way... by hand ... in the tub... and now I am itchy.
This is my life.

Date Night: Recap
We went to Brio for dinner and had a fabulous meal and finally found a wine that I actually LOVE. Reisling. It is a sweet wine without the dryness. It was so good. Since Brian loves wine, I have been searching to find one that I liked so I can share that with him. The waiter, Gabe, at Brio, was fantastic! He suggested the wine. I know nothing about wine at all. Turns out it is a domestic and it was so yum, we will be searching for it. Our meals were delicious too. Brian got the stuffed chicken and I got a shrimp risotto dish that had some dreamy sauce. Brian's chicken had this mushroom sauce that was melt in your mouth fantastic.
After dinner, we went to see P.S. I love you. I loved the movie! It was emotional but funny. I cried and laughed... a lot. Thank goodness we got a lot of napkins before going in cause I used them! Our theater was filled with couples, mostly young, and we all laughed and "awwed" and cried together... at least the women of us did. Brian liked it a lot and said it was a very good story. We left there feeling all lovey dovey. :)
It was a great date night. :)
We had to pick up Ashley on the way home. She was at a friends birthday party. Her "gay" friend. His name makes me think of a porno. Last name Pillows.... for real...
Anyway, in other news, I finished Blue Smoke by Nora Roberts. It was pretty good and the more I got into it the more I didn't want to put it down. I immediately picked up Plum Lucky by Janet Evanovich and finished that very quickly. It is a short book. I don't know what it was about this in-between-the-numbers book but it just wasn't as fun and FUNNY as her previous books. I did enjoy the story because I absolutely LOVE her characters in this series... but it lacked something and I don't know what it is. Regardless, it was not a BAD book... I did like it, I just didn't LOVE it.
So now I am reading A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole... and WOW... I am almost done with it. It is by far an interesting read...I immediately fell into the characters and their story... and the sexual tension thus far is staggering. Well, I am off to read more...
~ciao

Date Night
We are going out to eat, probably at Texas Land & Cattle. Then we are going to see P. S. I Love You. I will let you know how it is... the previews looked interesting.
Then I plan on reading a lot this weekend. I want to finish Blue Smoke by Nora Roberts. I have to say that Nora Roberts is a fantastic writer. I was never big into romance novels but she really has a way to bring it all together into a story that grabs your attention and holds on until the end. Though, I am having a slower time with this particular book than some of her others. I am not sure why... maybe because of how she is breaking it up? It is a good story but it is not something that I have to finish before I put it down as some of her others have been.
After this book, I will begin on the Kresley Cole series and probably also read Plum Lucky by Janet Evanovich. (Thanks to MK and Rachel)
Welcome 2008
I tend to ramble on about nothing in particular. Sometimes I have insight but most of the time, I will just write what I am thinking, what is going on with me, books I have read, movies I have seen, pictures and what not. Ya know... the rambling.
I have other blogs and even a myspace page (which I created ONLY to keep up the teens in my house) *ahem* but seeing as it is a new year, I wanted to have a new place to reflect on my crazy life.
